ASAP in Bilibid: Rare Footage of Colanggo’s Concert Inside the Bilibid Prison

September 21, 2016 by Sharon Ledesma

Convicted drug lord turned witness on De Lima’s involvement in the vast drug trade in the Philippines, Herbert Colangco seemed to proved as a credible witness as all his statements looks accurate on what is happening behind closed doors of National Bilibid Prison.

In this rare footage (which has been removed by a Facebook user in his own account), Herbert, with his back-up dancers (who would probably be an inmate as well or paid dancers from the outside), along with flashing lights and loud music, seemed to be enjoying singing in front of the crowd. He invested on sound system and even added generators in case there would be power interruptions in the Bilibid.

He said yesterday in senate hearing, “I turned Bilibid Prison into Roxas Boulevard” and also admitted that he would pay a sample model for 25,000 Php outside and then sold the model for 75,000 Php inside the Bilibid prison for his inmates’ pleasure. Boxes of canned beers also enters into the Bilibid prison, in which Herbert sells it for a price of 10,000 Php per box.

How Can Colanggo Do That?

As a witness, Herbert was asked how he was able to do these illegal things happen inside Bilibid Prison. It turned out, it was then Secretary De Lima of Department of Justice who allegedly allowed the illegal drug trades among other illegal activities happen inside the Bilibid prison in exchange of sum of money. Herbert said he and de Lima had negotiations regarding the drug trade, and that he should be giving de Lima a total of 3 million Pesos every month in exchange of earning favor in doing illegal things inside the Bilibid Prison.

The Senate hearing regarding the Drug trade is still on going and more revelations are bringing shock and amazement at the same time to the nation and netizens.
